Jan. 27 'Soup Sunday' set in Oakfield

Oakfield United Methodist Church is planning a "Soup Sunday" on Jan. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Soups being served includes chili, chicken dumpling, ham and bean, broccoli cheese, vegetable - plus more. Meal also includes bread, cheese, crackers, milk and coffee, homemade cookies and bars.

Costs: Adults are $6; children ages 6-12 are $4; and children 5 and under are free.

Oakfield UMC is located at 220 S. Main St.

All profits from this event will be going to support the "Gift Ark" through the Heifer Project. During 2013, the project ise looking to raise $5,000 to support 15 different pair of animals to help those in need around the world.
