Local gun club to host NRA basic pistol course

The Ripon Rifle & Pistol Club and the Safe Shooting Educational Foundation will host an NRA Basic Pistol Course on Saturday, Jan 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The course will be taught by local NRA-certified instructors and will cover the basics of safe gun-handling and shooting. This is a fund-raising event for the foundation.

The course will emphasize the safe and proper handling and use of pistols. Participants will learn about firearm safety, parts and operation, shooting fundaments, care and cleaning, storage options, selection and more. This course meets the eligibility requirements for a Wisconsin and Florida Concealed Carry Permit.
