Boys basketball: Jesperson's outburst sinks Marshfield

For three quarters, the Marshfield boys basketball team had bottled up Merrill standout David Jesperson.

In the fourth quarter, though, Jesperson erupted for 15 of his game-high 22 points, including calmly sinking a pair of free throws with .6 seconds remaining to lift the Bluejays to a thrilling 43-41 come-from-behind win over the Tigers on Friday.

With the score knotted at 41-41, the Bluejays broke the Tigers' full-court press and found Jesperson who was fouled with less than a second remaining. ...
