Free event slated for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

After years of discussion and collaboration among community groups, a free event celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be held at First Presbyterian Church Monday.

"Opening Doors - Coming Together" will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and will feature keynote speaker Rev. Joe Ellwanger, who was a pastor in Birmingham, Ala., during the civil rights movement and worked with King to organize demonstrations.
