UWSP offers aquatic classes

The Special Needs Aquatic Program at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point will offer aquatic classes for adults with arthritis, older adults looking for a low-impact workout or adults with special needs.

The 45-minute classes are held twice a week on Monday and Thursday in the therapeutic pool in the UWSP Health Enhancement Center, 2050 Fourth Ave. The Basic Aquatic Exercise class begins at 8:45 a.m. The Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program classes are held at 10 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Session one (16 classes) will be Jan. 28 to March 21 and costs $48. Session two (14 classes) will be April 1 to May 16 and costs $42. For more information or to sign up, call the School of Physical Education and Athletic Training at 715-346-2706.
