Organizers for the Badger State Winter Games say registration this year is up in nearly every event, with youth archery numbers doubling last year's total.

Badger State Games archery commissioner Dennis Wendt said 115 youths participated in this year's archery competition. The Badger State Winter Games kicked off this weekend with archery competitions at the Rib Mountain Bowmen Archery Club in the town of Maine and bowling at Coral Lanes in Rothschild.
