De Pere School Board members will decide tonight whether the school district should become one of the last in the area to offer 4-year-old kindergarten.

If approved, the voluntary preschool program would begin in 2013-14, and families could enroll next month.

The program would be half-day for four days a week. Some sections would be held in district elementary schools, and others would be located in day care centers within the district. Day care locations would provide wraparound child care for families that need it. ...
