Wisconsin 4-H Foundation

The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation plans to award more than $10,000 in scholarships to outstanding Wisconsin students pursuing undergraduate degrees in 2013.

The 2013 scholarships are as follows:

? 4-H Agricultural Scholarship: $1,000 (3)

? 4-H Leadership Scholarship: $1,000 (3)

? 4-H Community Service Scholarship: $750 (2)

? 4-H Animal Sciences Scholarship: $750 (2)

? 4-H Natural Resources & Environmental Education Scholarship: $500 (1)

? Elizabeth Salter-Eby Memorial Scholarship: $500 (1)

Eligibility requirements: 4-H member for at least one year; Minimum GPA 2.5 on a 4.0 scale; be enrolled or planning to enroll in a university, college or technical school during the 2013-2014 academic school year; and meet any other eligibility requirements specific to the individual scholarship. Wisconsin 4-H Foundation scholarships are awarded to students based on demonstrated personal growth, development and leadership, academic performance, financial need and future educational goals with specific criteria for designated awards.

Music scholarship audition days at St. Norbert College

Incoming first year students at St. Norbert College who plan to pursue a major or minor in music, or who enjoy music, are eligible to audition for a music scholarship. The auditions take place Jan. 26, and Feb. 9, at a scheduled time for each student.

Eligibility requirements: Applicants do not need to be admitted to St. Norbert College to audition, but need to have applied to the college and filled out the scholarship audition form at After submitting the audition form, students will be mailed an information packet with audition details and a schedule for their audition day. Each audition will consist of performing for a panel of music faculty members, a personal interview and taking a comprehensive theory exam. The results of the exam do not affect probability of admission.

Community foundation offers many scholarships

The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation is accepting scholarship applications from students who reside in our community. Last year, the Community Foundation awarded nearly $200,000 scholarships to students in Northeast Wisconsin.

Each scholarship opportunity has its own guidelines and qualifications, which can be found online at

Some of the scholarships offered include: The Great Expectations Scholarship offers $10,000 each year for four years; Emil & Gail Fischer Northeast Wisconsin Master Gardeners Annual Award offers a minimum of $1,000 per year to students studying a horticulture-related field; The Vanderheiden-Willey Scholarship offers $1,000 for one year to minority students from Brown County pursuing an undergraduate's or associate's degree; The Sy and Bernice Ward Scholarship offers $2,000 for one year to Brown County students who have a demonstrated commitment to community service and are pursuing an education in technology, medicine, nursing, education, engineering, business, accounting, or law.
