There's beauty in the craftsmanship of a finely made firearm - the way the metal is sculpted to meet the wood, said Ralph Hettig.

A gun dealer and owner of Wild Goose Sports out of Rochester, Minn., Hettig spoke fondly of his collection of antique arms. Among the finds is a Civil War musket and a couple of Mauser hunting rifles, circa 1930s.

"I came here today to buy guns," Hettig said as he sold a box of 40-year-old ammunition. He was one of many vendors who drew a massive crowd to Saturday's gun show at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds. ...
