National Weather Service: Wind chill advisory until noon Tuesday

Wind chill indices of 20 to 30 below are expected today, according to the National Weather Service. Exposed skin can suffer frostbite in 15 to 20 minutes.

Residents are advised to dress properly for the weather, including wearing hats and gloves and covering all exposed skin.

The advisory could be upgraded to a wind chill warning late today into Tuesday morning.
