Hugh "Rusty" and Linda O'Donnell of Nekoosa celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 10, 2012, with family and friends at the Nepco Lake County Park Shelter House in Wisconsin Rapids. They renewed their vows the next day at a Mass officiated by the Rev. John Swing at Sacred Heart Church in Nekoosa.

Original attendants who were present at the celebration included Alan Arendt, Brian O'Donnell, Kathie Joslin, Jean Schmidt and Sandra Oleson.

The former Linda Arendt and Rusty O'Donnell were married on Nov. 10, 1962, at Sacred Heart Church in Nekoosa.

Rusty retired from Georgia Pacific in 1996 after 38 years of employment. Linda, in addition to her years as a homemaker, worked in the kitchens at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home and St. Lawrence Catholic School.

Children of the couple are Pamela O'Donnell of Madison, Deborah (Don) Grorich of Waupaca, Hugh Jeffrey O'Donnell of Nekoosa and Brad (Jody) O'Donnell of Nekoosa. They have seven grandchildren.
