Trudy Pederson says Barack Obama stands for what she believes in, and was thrilled to be able to celebrate his second inauguration on Monday night.

The Portage County Democratic Party celebrated the ceremonial event at Rhody's Middletown Tavern & Grill, 2301 Church St.

"When he spoke today, it was what we could do as citizens, not them and us," said Pederson, of Stevens Point. "He's not done with what he wants to accomplish, and I hope we can have some bipartisanship to work on issues like gun legislation and immigration reform." ...
