Sheriff's posse jumps into jury pool after illness KOs jurors

JUNEAU - A sex assault trial in Dodge County is going forward despite illness hampering the jury selection process Tuesday morning.

Due to several members of the jury pool being out with the flu, neither Assistant District Attorney James Sempf or defense attorney Steven Luchsinger were comfortable with the depleted pool, prompting Dodge County Circuit Court Judge Brian Pfitzinger to direct Clerk of Courts Lynn Hron to call in the sheriff.
