Stolen Lakeside Park elves returned to rightful owner

Half of the Christmas decorations stolen from Lakeside Park over the holiday season were found Jan. 14 under the overpass of Highway 41 and County Trunk N.

After receiving an anonymous phone call, officers met with the alleged offenders and were told the decorations were being kept under the Highway 41 overpass because they didn't want to be connected with the crime, according to the Fond du Lac police report.
