College honors

? Sarah Warpinski, third-year student at Michigan State University College of Law, East Lansing, Mich., received a two-year Skadden Foundation Fellowship. Warpinski, founder of the Modern Abolitionist Legal Society at MSU Law, has been active on human trafficking issues. During her fellowship, Warpinski will work with Legal Aid of Western Ohio, and the Family Justice Center of Northwest Ohio. Warpinski is a graduate of De Pere High School.

? Amanda Schuld, a junior and Spanish major at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, was named to the fall 2012 dean's list. She is the daughter of Roger and Debra Schuld, Oneida.

? Jessica Kope, De Pere, was named to the fall 2012 dean's list at Jamestown (N.D.) College.

? Melissa Zimmerman, a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay received the Whitney Radder Phuture Phoenix Phenomenal Role Model Award.

High school honors

? Wrightstown Community School District won a $25,000 America's Farmers Grow Rural Education grant to build a hydroponic greenhouse, where students to determine how to best grow plants using the right combination of water, light and nutrients. After being nominated by local farmers, Wrightstown completed an online application. Finalists were chosen by math and science teachers from ineligible school districts.
