Days after the season ended, Alex Van Pelt sat and pondered what might have been had Cedric Benson never gotten hurt.

What could a workhorse back like Benson really have added to the Green Bay Packers' offense? Would a bit more consistency in the backfield have helped alleviate some of the offense's struggles?

The reality was neither Van Pelt nor the Packers were able to see that scenario play itself out this season. ...
