The initial appearance of a Stevens Point man accused of burglarizing a home in the village of Park Ridge was delayed until February.

James J. Wolf, 35, of Stevens Point, appeared from Portage County Jail on Tuesday for an initial appearance on charges of burglary, possession of tools that could be used in a burglary and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

But Wolf, who was transported to Portage County Jail from the Stanley Correctional Institution near Eau Claire, said his calls to a public defenders office were not returned in time for the appearance. ...
