Former business owner faces sex assault charges

A former Wausau business owner already facing more than 180 years in prison in connection with a $1 million mortgage fraud scheme is now charged with sexually assaulting a child.

Online court records show Jay S. Fischer, 52, of Marion was charged Friday in Marathon County Circuit Court with several sex offenses, including first-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13. Fischer is being held in the Marathon County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
