Football: Oconto, Mishicot drop into O/P-Small Division

The Olympian/Packerland Conference is realigning its football divisions to make up for the departure of two teams.

Mishicot and Oconto will move from the O/P-Large to the O/P-Small to help offset the losses of Sevastopol and Gibraltar, who submitted paperwork to the WIAA last month to make the switch to eight-player football.

Following the departure of those two Door County teams, the O/P-Small had five remaining schools, which wouldn't have allowed the squads to play the minimum of five conference games required by the WIAA to become playoff eligible. Mishicot and Oconto were chosen as ...
