Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver appears to be leaning strongly toward retiring this offseason, according to a report in USA Today.

The report, which cites a source whoís familiar with Driverís thinking, said Driver isnít 100 percent sure but could announce his retirement as early as next week.

Driver, who turns 38 next week, has played his entire 14-year career with the Packers. He caught only eight passes this season and was inactive for three of the teamís last five games, including their playoff matchup against Minnesota. Driver was a healthy scratch in two of the Packersí last three games.
Driverís agent, Jordan Woy, could not be reached for comment.
Driver is the Packersí all-time leader in receptions (743) and receiving yards (10,137). He has scored 61 touchdowns. But he caught only two passes in the final two months of the season.
On Jan. 13, the day after the Packers were eliminated from the playoffs, Driver hinted at retirement as he cleaned out his locker.

ďI think we all think about it, you get up a certain amount of years, you think about, ĎWhere do we go from here?íĒ Driver said.

He added: ďI havenít officially made a decision on what Iím going to do. I said I was going to go home and sit down with the wife and kids and then make that decision from there. ... I donít know what is all going to lay out. Itís going to be a tough decision no matter what I do. I feel like I can still play, I think Iíve proven that. Iím just going to see what is out there for me.Ē
