SASD food service program goes from red to black

But some school board members urge additional improvements

After a year of upgrades and revisions to the food service program in the Sheboygan Area School District, Coordinator of Auxiliary Services Chad Jensema says the program increased its revenue and decreased expenditures in the fall of 2012.

Jensema told SASD School Board members Tuesday night that the lunch program will see a $6,500 surplus by the end of the school year, based on a projected 2.2 percent increase in number of meals served, a 2.6 percent increase in revenues and a 6.3 percent decrease in expenditures.
