'Making Spirits Bright' donates more than 40,000 food items to food bank

"Making Spirits Bright," the first-time event of the four Sheboygan County Rotary Clubs that featured a holiday lights display, collected more than 40,000 food items for the Sheboygan County Food Bank, organizers announced this week.

The drive-through lights display, which ran for 25 days over the holiday season at Evergreen Park in Sheboygan, asked for non-perishable food and pantry donations. The items collected will fill the area food pantries' shelves for months, organizers said.
