The criminal element continues to expand its variety of scams. Many come through the mail, some the telephone, and others over the internet.

For example, you may have received the scam telephone call regarding a child or grandchild who happens to be in a different country who is hurt, jailed or in need of money for airfare to get home due to being mugged. Many send the money. These criminals don't care who they call, our E911 Center received one recently. Of course, they hung up after we told them they called the Dodge County Sheriffs Office.
