The Green Bay Packers by all appearances were set up for a strong postseason run in the 2012 NFL season.

They were coming off a 2011 season that ended with a bitter home loss in the divisional round of the playoffs to the New York Giants after an incredibly successful 15-1 regular season. The feeling of unfinished business can be powerful motivation.

Also, because of that playoff loss, coach Mike McCarthy adjusted the team's training and practice schedule to foster even more than in the past the prospects for peaking in the postseason. ...
