Saturday to retire after Pro Bowl

The Green Bay Packers were hoping Jeff Saturday could squeeze two seasons out of his already long NFL career when they signed him as a free agent last March.

But the 37-year-old center hit the wall in 2012 and has acknowledged as much by announcing the end of his decorated 14-year career. On Friday he told a radio station in Indianapolis that his appearance in the Pro Bowl this weekend will be his last NFL game.

"We'll finish it with sunsets in Hawaii and call it a much better career than I would have anticipated," Saturday said on WNFI radio Friday morning, as quoted by the Indianapolis Star. ...
