Often times, one quarter makes all the difference in a basketball game.

That was certainly the case between the Oakfield and Central Wisconsin Christian girls basketball teams Saturday afternoon, as the Oaks blitzed the Crusaders 17-0 in the second quarter on their way to a 45-30 home win in Trailways Conference action.

Oakfield played an essentially mistake-free first half, dominated CWC with offensive rebounding and a full-court press that kept causing turnovers to have the game well in hand after 16 minutes of game time. ...
