Boys & Girls Club; Y to hold multi-cultural event Feb. 7

Experience the various cultures that are a part of the Fond du Lac community at the Multicultural Event, sponsored by the Johnsonville Boys & Girls Club and the Fond du Lac Family YMCA. This event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7.

Tour a showcase of countries presented by the Boys & Girls Club, 4-H, WNEP, the JustFare Market, Ebony Vision, and the Global Teens Club. Watch local community members take part in Cultural Performances, including performances by Hmong dancers and Hispanic dancers, plus enjoy stories and native dancing by a Brothertown Nation elder.

You will also have an opportunity to tempt your taste buds with treats from local ethnic restaurants, and win prizes by getting your "Club Passport" stamped. This event is free for everyone, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Y is a cause-driven organization dedicated to strengthening communities through programs that promote youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
