Lesley Manowske, left, director of Leadership Fond du Lac at the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce, accepts a check from Brian Olson, president of the Lakeside Evening Kiwanis of Fond du Lac. The $500 donation will be used to support the Youth Leadership Fond du Lac program.
The Youth Leadership Fond du Lac program recently received a $500 donation from the Lakeside Evening Kiwanis of Fond du Lac. This generous donation will go directly towards the youth program, which provides information and experience to high school juniors who are interested in learning more about their community.
Youth Leadership Fond du Lac is an eight-month program created in 2006. Teens who are nominated and accepted learn about local institutions and issues, and execute a group project that will benefit the community. The program is operated at no cost to the students and supported through corporate donations and a grant from the Fond du Lac Area Foundation.
If you would like more information about the Youth Leadership Fond du Lac Program, please contact Lesley Manowske at the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce at 920-921-9500.
