Local people with expertise in a financially related field are invited to present educational programs during Money Smart Week 2013, April 20-27. Money Smart Week is an annual series of classes and activities designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. Held in coordination with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Money Smart Week brings experts to the public for great learning opportunities.

All Money Smart Week programs must relate to money and personal finance. Per national guidelines, presenters are prohibited from selling services or product. Most programs are held at the Fond du Lac Public Library, and the week's activities are promoted with paid advertisements and other traditional and social media outlets.

Prospective instructors are asked to contact a member of the Money Smart Week planning committee:

? Lori Burgess, Fond du Lac Public Library, burgess@fdlpl.org, (920) 322-3922

? Shelley Tidemann, UW-Extension, michelle.tidemann@ces.uwex.edu, (920) 929-3174

? Tammy Matzdorf, Consumer Credit Counseling, tmatzdorf@cccsonline.org, (920) 907-4344

The committee also is inviting local businesses to donate door prizes and gift certificates to use as incentives and contest prizes in the Money Smart Week programs for adults, teens and children. For more information, contact one of the committee members listed above.
