Curling: Green Bay club set for nationals at Cornerstone

The dream is close to becoming a reality for Harry Maier.

After months of preparation, the Green Bay Curling Club co-chairman is about to see his committee's efforts come to fruition when the best curlers in the United States compete at the Cornerstone Community Center from Feb. 9-16 for the 2013 U.S. Curling National Championships.

The Green Bay area will be hosting the event for the first time since 1957. It consists of the top 10 men's and women's teams in the nation competing for a berth to represent the U.S. in March at the men's world championship in Victoria, B.C., and the women's world ...
