Boys basketball: Strege's jumper lifts Tigers over Wausau West

Marshfield's Alex Strege came off the bench Friday night at the Marshfield Fieldhouse and played his usual solid game. A few rebounds here, a few points there.

But it was Strege's key play down the stretch that stood out, hitting a 14-foot jumper off the glass with just over four seconds left to give the Tigers an improbale, come-from-behind 46-45 Wisconsin Valley Conference win. West had one last chance to go the length of the court. A closely guarded attempt went awry and the Tigers came away with the win.

The bank shot was Strege's fourth field goal in a row. He had a two-point field goal midway ...
