Badger Games continue Sunday, next weekend

The 25th edition of the Badger State Games continues Sunday and Feb. 1-3 in the Wauau area.

Sunday's games include:

Alpine skiing - Giant slalom races start at 9:30 a.m. at Granite Peak Ski Area, 3605 N. Mountain Road, Rib Mountain.

Archery - Animal round (targets are shaped like animals), held between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at Rib Mountain Bowmen Archery Club, 2385 Julip Drive, town of Maine.

Snowmobile racing - Held in conjunction with the Wausau 525 Flip Merwin Memorial Race. Racing starts at 10 a.m. at 8911 N. Mountain Road, Rib Mountain.

The events held Feb. 1-3 will be billiards at Dale's Weston Lanes, 5902 Schofield Ave., Weston; trap shooting, Marathon Trap & Sportsmen Club, 1558 Highway N., Marathon; curling, Wausau Curling Center, 1920 Curling Way, Wausau; figure skating (starts Thursday), Mosinee Rec Center, 701 11th St., Mosinee; and Nordic skiing, Nine Mile Forest Recreation Area, 8704 Redbud Road, Rib Mountain.
