The chapter received thank you letters for donations to Veterans Assistance Project at King, the PTSD unit at the VA Hospital in Tomah and for nonperishable goods for SWEPS that Don Schillinger collected.

Money was approved to sponsor Badger Boys State participants for this coming year, and a donation was made to ODC in Wisconsin Rapids.

The after-the-holiday dinner party was held at Great Expectations. There was a large turnout of old and news members. President Tom Sachs thanked the color guard for attending recent parades and ceremonies, Port Edwards and Wisconsin Rapids Veterans Day ceremonies, Rekindle Spirit Parade, Nekoosa Christmas Parade and Pearl Harbor Day Ceremony. He also thanked Bob and Kathy Guyant for all their help with a variety of activities through out the year. He presented them with a Certificate of Appreciation plaque.

Our next get together is 8 p.m. Feb. 7 for breakfast at The Olympic II in Shopko Plaza II. For more information on the Vietnam Veterans of America, call Gary at 715-325-6881.
