The new year is off to a flying start at McMillan Library.
As always, some of the best events at the library are not sponsored by the library, but organized by others in the community. For example, the library will be the location for a very special event next week.
We are pleased to host the Mayor's 2013 State of the City address Wednesday.
The event begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m. to meet the mayor and interact with city employees and elected officials. Following the reception, the mayor's address will begin at 7 p.m. with an opportunity for audience questions. The mayor will provide an update on current initiatives and introduce the priorities for the upcoming year. The event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters, Wisconsin Rapids Chapter. Due to limited seating, RSVP is encouraged. Go to wirapids.org or call 715-421-8216.
