Nicole Meissner was one of the players on the Mishicot girls' basketball team who participated in the 'Playing for Patients' effort in the fight against cancer on Jan. 18. Proceeds from the fundraiser were donated to the American Cancer Society and PJ's Walk for Life.

After a few cold days last week, Mishicot should be ready to welcome some warm indoor activities.

Here are some events to mark on your calendar for the upcoming weeks:

? An all-you-can-eat chili dinner will be hosted by the Mishicot FFA and Lions Club on Feb. 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Tickets are $5 each, which includes all the chili you can eat, a beverage and dessert. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Lions vision screening in the Mishicot School District and FFA projects. ...
