Pointers roundup: Men win swimming dual with La Crosse

Women come up short against Eagles

LA CROSSE - There was some good news and some bad news for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point swimming and diving teams Saturday.

On the positive side, the Pointers men were able to pick up a 132-111 win over UW-La Crosse, while the news was not quite as good for the UWSP women who fell to the Eagles, 184-59.

Among the highlights on the men's side were Joey Clapp and Joe Gendron placed first and second, respectively, in the 50-yard freestyle with times of 20.8 seconds for Clapp and Gendron finished in 22.07 seconds. ...
