Wet, heavy snow hit the Lakeshore area Sunday afternoon and early evening, with about 3 inches of accumulation expected before the precicipation changed to rain and/or sleet, according to the National Weather Service.

There were police scanner reports of a few minor traffic accidents related to the weather, and a gas main break in the town of Two Rivers area. No injuries had been reported as of late Sunday afternoon.
