Agnesian HealthCare joins hundreds of cities across the country that offer Safe Sitter babysitting training classes. The medically-accurate program teaches 11- to 14-year-old girls and boys how to handle emergencies when caring for younger children.

The two-session Safe Sitter workshop is scheduled for Mondays, Feb. 11 and 18 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. in Journeys: a health resource center, 430 E. Division St., Fond du Lac.

Participants will also receive helpful tips to make them more confident caregivers, learn safety precautions and how to understand children of different ages, and even the business of babysitting.

The cost is $40 per person and includes an instruction manual and completion card.

For more information or to register, call Journeys: a health resource center at 926-4960; or e-mail at classes@agnesian.com
