Auburndale raises money for breast cancer research

There was a sea of pink in the bleachers during the boys' and girls' basketball games Jan. 11. Students, staff members and community members were able to purchase pink T-shirts to support breast cancer research. There was also a basket raffle with great prizes donated by local businesses and families.

The event raised $1,300 for the Susan G. Komen Research Fund.

The Auburndale High School student council coordinated the event. ...
