'Write to Recover' to collect journals during Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month

During the month of February, area schools are taking the time to educate their students about teen dating violence. One in three high school students have been or will be involved in an abusive relationship. A recent survey of schools found there were an estimated 4,000 incidents of rape or other types of sexual assault in public schools across the nation. Dating violence is the leading cause of injury to young women.
