Two dogs died in a house fire that erupted at about 4:30 p.m. Monday on Sheboygan's south side.

Firefighters responded to the fire at 1131 Oakland Ave. and had the fire under control in about 30 minutes, fire Commander Keith Risse said.

The dogs were rescued from the first floor of the house, but rescue personnel were unable to resuscitate them, Risse said. ...
