It is hard to believe that it has been three months since I began my position as Executive Coordinator to the Mayor and returned to my hometown in Wisconsin Rapids. I am proud to be back and even more so to be actively working alongside the mayor to make this community an even better place. This past three months have been filled with understanding city operations, learning about the mayor's priorities, and engaging in making them a reality. On that note, it is my pleasure to invite you to join us for the 2013 State of the City address being held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at McMillan Memorial Library in the Fine Arts Center.

A reception hosted by the League of Women Voters of the Wisconsin Rapids area will be held at 6:30 p.m. Residents will have the chance to meet the mayor, city department heads and alderpersons. The mayor will begin his remarks at 7 p.m. and will include a presentation by the mayor highlighting what has been done over the last year, and where we are focused moving forward in 2013. There will be time for questions following the presentation.

We invite all of the public to join us for the event. RSVP is highly encouraged by visiting wirapids.org or calling me at 715-421-8216. I look forward to seeing you there.
