Downtown Appleton restaurants, coffeehouses put chocolate on the menu

If there's an opportune way to get to the great beyond, especially on Valentine's Day, it's got to include chocolate.

The 10th annual Death by Chocolate event will be held from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 14. Twenty downtown Appleton restaurants and coffeehouses will serve samples of chocolate treats including chocolate Amaretto mousse, chocolate wine in a chocolate glass, chocolate-covered cannoli and so much more.

The sponsoring Appleton Downtown Incorporated has found chocolate to be a great way to attract visitors - maybe for the first time - to downtown Appleton and at the same time raise ...
