High School Girls Basketball: De Pere's first state champions feted on 30-year anniversary

De Pere High School girls basketball - it not only has become one of the premier programs in the area within the last 10 years but also the state of Wisconsin since the Redbirds won WIAA Division 1 state titles in 2005 and '12 and finished runners-up in 2010.

The Redbirds' success is nothing new, however. The program has a history of producing championship teams, which dates all the way back to 1983 when De Pere claimed its first state title under the direction of then-head coach Keith Coleman.
