Stratford student uses art to support community

Two years ago, when Jennah Kaiser became president of the Stratford High School art club, she knew she wanted to get the club more involved in giving back to the community.

When she was approached last year with an opportunity to benefit the Soup or Socks Food Pantry and Clothes Closet in Marshfield through the Empty Bowls campaign, it was a no-brainer to the 17-year-old future art teacher.

Since students returned from winter break earlier this month, they've been busy creating about 50 custom soup bowls, which will be sold for $10 each March 2 during the Empty Bowls at the University of ...
