Clark County Humane Society Pet of the Week 'Abigail'
I'm Abigail, and I want my own home and someone to love me. I'm 3 years old. My sister Abilene and I were abandoned. She got adopted and is doing well. I'm still waiting for the chance to show you what a great dog I am. I love to run, so I'd be a good dog for a jogger. I like everyone, too.
If you have room in your heart and home and would promise to love me, I think you should stop in to meet me. If I'm not exactly what you're looking for, I'll bet one of the others here will be just right.
If you think you could provide a good home for me or any of the other pets here, please go to the website and check out the pictures and descriptions of them. Most of the cats cost $30 (some only $10) to adopt. Most of the dogs cost only $60. You can apply to adopt online or in person at the shelter. There are 25 cats or kittens and 39 dogs or puppies here now. Surely we will have one that would be just right for you.
There are so many wonderful cats up for adoption at CCHS right now. We are offering any two cats for the price of one during this time. This includes a lot of cats that already have been spayed/neutered, blood-tested, vaccinated, micro-chipped and treated for internal and external parasites. If you were ever thinking of getting a cat or two, this is a great time to do it!
Have some fun and stop in just to visit. If you've not been to a shelter because you felt they would be sad, dreary, dead-end places, you really need to stop in at CCHS! This shelter is a bright, clean and happy place where the pets are well-cared for and loved while they wait for their new homes. CCHS is proud to be a no-kill shelter. Our service area includes Clark, Wood, Jackson and Chippewa counties. We are the fourth largest shelter in the state, and we're still growing. We'd be glad to give you a tour of the building and show you the pets available for adoption, too. We know you will be very happy with what you'll see here. You'll probably even want to join us and be part of this life-saving organization.
It's the last chance to enter the CCHS annual Pet Photo Contest. The deadline for entries is Thursday. You can win some cash prizes in four different categories (not to mention bragging rights). See all the details on our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org.
