Play 4 Pink event set for Tuesday, Feb. 5

The public is invited to attend the girls basketball game between the Sheboygan North Lady Raiders and Green Bay East Red Devils on Tuesday, Feb. 5, as they play in an annual Play 4 Pink event to raise breast cancer awareness at North High School.

Events will be held from 6-9 p.m. and the game begins at 7:15 p.m. The first 50 fans in the door will receive a free pink T-shirt from Prevea Sports Medicine, and all are encouraged to show up wearing pink.

There will also be a raffle and a bucket for collection of donations, with proceeds supporting the Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund.

Benefit fundraiser for Briann Brunner on Saturday, Feb. 2

A fundraiser to benefit the family of Briann Brunner, an eighth-grader at Sheboygan Falls Middle School who is battling a muscular cancer called alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, is planned for 2-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Range Line Inn in Kohler.

There will be a brat fry, more than 30 raffles, a silent auction and entertainment from middle school band The Storm.

Major prizes that will be given include orthodontic treatment, Green Bay Packer tickets and cash.

Brianna, daughter of Vicky and Bruce Brunner, will undergo a year of treatment at Children's Hospital.
