Police catch day-time burglary suspect hours after crime

Police arrested a 45-year-old Plover man after a Stevens Point couple walked in on him allegedly burglarizing their home on Ellis Street.

The couple returned to their home in the 2900 block of Ellis Street at about 1:20 p.m. Tuesday to find a man in their house. One of the owners, a 37-year-old Stevens Point man, chased him off but was unable to catch him.
