An extensive background in business, event planning and working in government makes Heidi Born-Smith, 47, of Rudolph, the ideal new general manager at the Central Wisconsin State Fair, fair board members said Wednesday during a news conference to announce her appointment to the position and the upcoming fair grandstand entertainment schedule.
