Much attention has been given in recent elections to Election Day Registration. Wisconsin voters have been able to register at polling locations on election days since 1976.

While such a privilege certainly has been a convenience to voters, allegations of fraud have raised concerns and many are calling for EDR to end.

EDR was enacted to increase voter participation. The logic shared by most is that enactment of EDR increased voter participation. Furthermore, many believe that restricting EDR would disproportionately affect Democrat voters. ...
